The Muslim Bitcoin Experience
Learn about the future of money and currency. Whether it be Bitcoin or The Digital Dollar, digital cash is coming. Physical paper money is coming to an end and with fears over the handling of money from the Covid 19 pandemic, the writing is on the wall for cash. The digital age is approaching our money.
We will explore where we’ve come from in terms of money and finance, where we currently are, and whats the planned future, how you can prepare for it and is it even halal.

In this course Ustadh Mu’aawiyah Tucker will take you through the journey of money. What is it? This enigma that most of us have just grown up and accepted is now being challenged day by day. The federal reserve bank just printed over $6 Trillion out of thin air, and used it to buy things and prop up the markets and economy. But how can you just print money? We were told from a young age that money doesn’t grow on trees, but not even all the trees in the world could grow $6 Trillion within a few weeks for free. So whats going on, and why can’t I print money? What gives some the right to print money out of thin air while others don’t? These are the sort of questions we will seek to answer and more as we explore how we got here, and where are we going. Understanding this is key to prepare yourself for the coming paradigm shift.
Once the foundation has been set, we will investigate what happened in 2008, the birth of Bitcoin, and how our world was irreversibly changed. We will explore the original vision of Satoshi Nakamoto, and what he aimed to achieve with his idea of a ‘peer to peer digital cash system’ known as Bitcoin.
We will then explore the vast new ways in which money can be used in the future, and how our tomorrow will look very different than today. You will begin to understand what gives money value and what exactly it is ‘measuring’, especially ‘Money 2.0’.
We will also explore in detail the Islamic position towards digital money and understand the various viewpoints of scholars across the world. With this knowledge you’ll be able to understand why some things in this new digital space would be haram while others would not.
We will touch briefly upon whether crypto currencies are useful investment tools and answer the question of whether it would be a good way to make money. But this will be more extensively explored in part 6 of this ‘Digital Islamic Finance’ program.
Finally you will understand how the current system is on the brink of collapse, and understand how one can protect themselves from such a collapse and from the shackles of Riba. Riba has been woven into every avenue of our day to day lives, and it's about time we free ourselves from it.
This is your chance to join an interactive class with your teacher, who has both experience and knowledge of both the Sharee’ah and of the financial world. You will be able to engage with the teacher and ensure your questions are understood and answered. The course will be delivered using animated slides, with sounds and videos and interactive competitive phone based quizzes. You will also be able to join an online community where you can later share ideas, resources and maybe even learn new investments ideas.
